Pada forum resmi Clash of Clans, Anoushka mengumumkan bahwa Clash of Clans akan segera tutup server pada tanggal 29 Februari 2016, seperti yang tertulis berikut:

Namun setelah ditelusuri lebih lanjut, ternyata thread tersebut hanyalah HOAX!. Ada pihak yang iseng melakukan Inspect Element pada thread aslinya, sehingga jelas lah bahwa hal itu hanya editan semata. berikut thread aslinya:
